Graphology - what is it?
Graphology is the study of the psychological
structure of the human being through his or her handwriting.
The word "graphology" is Greek and is a
combination of two words: "graphe" which means writing and "logos"
meaning definition.
Graphology is a social science and, like
all such sciences, depends on research and experimentation - not on
intuition or magic. It has its own rules.
Graphology is based on approximately 250
signs which are grouped under the following headings:
- Layout
- Dimension
- Pressure
- Form
- Speed
- Continuity
- Direction
Each handwriting is analysed to
record 40 or so signs which, in combination, provide sufficient
information for the graphologist to deduce the writer's
personality.
